if you're mixing colors use cold water! the pigment only bleeds because of the heat, and it gets your clothes just as clean

I recommend detergent sheets!! They're like Dryer sheets but they're solid sheets of detergent, and they're not encased jn plastic so you don't have to worry about them melting to something, I've never had a problem with them dissolving in the water and they're cheaper and easier to transport/store than a bottle of detergent!
