Who cares :
I keep a towel under mine, I swap it out every other day. I wash my dish rack once a week.

I have one that goes over the 2nd sink and drips down the drain. Are they cleaner?

Since I remember I use a white dish rack only to be able to spot any dirt or mold at anytime. I wash it 2x a week or more often if needed. I also make a couple of small holes at the end near the sink, to let it drain into the sink to avoid mold growth. 👌

I’m not I drain mine in the sink But that’s just common sense not to just let the water dry. At least I would hope it would be
