I think as a grown woman, if I was in that situation, I’d call my mom mommy again as well. That term is so endearing to me and I think it would give me comfort in that moment to know I’m just my mom’s baby in those last minutes.

Receiving that call as a mother would reck me. I’d probably be crazy enough to try to go and get my baby. Her telling him to be with someone was such a smart thing to do.
