@stevepsychology: Scientists can be biased too and that impacts how they analyze data! #scientists #bias #confirmationbias #psychologyresearch #psychology
How do we know that research didn’t also study data in a way that confirms their own beliefs

Did the scientists who conducted the study also let their ideological bias affect their findings?

You can see this in all of the research that comes out of the institute for family studies 😁

This is why being critical of the results of scientific studies is not the same thing as being “anti science”.

It’s so funny I spent years learning how science was right, and then I took a research class my final year of college. Now I can’t look at theories the same.😭

Scientists invoke OCCAM before they will contemplate the bias — so.. this cannot be surprising

While true it's important to state tha part of science is conducting peer reviews etc. This video seems like its trying to discredit science as a whole?

What- water wet? scientists are not supposed to be objective. That’s like the entire purpose of the scientific method and all of our current peer reviewed processes. It’s all framed around scientists are NOT objective and to acknowledge those biases in the study to make the research as transparent as possible, so that hopefully it’s as objective as possible.
