This is why I never host different friend groups together, you end up spending the whole evening facilitating and you don't get to just be present in the moment

I don’t facilitate actual conversations. We have a lot of lovely conservation starters in our home (board games, cool art, cats, cocktail bar, coffee bar) and when I introduce folks I do a quick run down like…this is ____ with like a things they are into, and then introduce the other person with a different thing they are into. If those folks don’t mesh they can move through the group to somewhere else.
