I retired at 57 with 465000 in a 401k with no debt, I've taken roughly 160000 out since and still have a balance of 420000. I'll take a lot less out at 62.

How about listing what Health Insurance and Property taxes cost yearly for those retiring @62 or younger since these cost are just like death in that they can’t be avoided.

Turning 62 this year. Retired at 60. Total investments are $2.2M, no debts/mortgage. On top of that, my wife and I will be earning $75k/year in pension income (company and gov) when we turn 65. I made a decision in my late 20s to live a frugal but fulfilling life and invest a good portion of my income.

work to stay busy n not pay for health insurance. if u wanna pay 800 or more on benefits monthly, then retire but its about mentally accepting that u gonna pay instead of keep getting it covered by ur employer 🙏

With an empty nest a paid off house is a must. It helps if the taxes aren’t to outrageous. Drive cars longer especially when paid for. Look for ways to reduce utility costs. It’s not that bad. We travel a lot and get by very well. Shop for better insurance with lower premiums. It is doable! Enjoy your golden years!!
