We do something similar with our son - one of us picks dinner, the other picks dessert and the other chooses some snacks. He absolutely LOVES it and gets so excited to see what we all chose at the checkout 😂🥰

Some times we do this my boys are a bit younger but we still like to teach them about responsibility, money and numbers so we give them a budget of $10 (sadly we don’t have a Aldi here 😩) and we just let them pick something at the supermarket sometime they put their money together and pick dinner and some movie snacks. And they help make their dinner. It’s a great money saver and also teaches kids so many skills
