I started getting them at 27 and I immediately stopped dying my hair. ive been waiting my whole life for silver/gray hair since i saw stacey londons silver streak the first time. i think it's so pretty!

I’m a hairstylist and people start getting gray hairs here or there in late teens/early 20s. a lot of people start covering it in their 20s/early 30s. i’d say about 50% of the population is 50% or more gray by the time they are in their 40s. its so normalized to cover it that the perception of gray is wayyy off.

I started “greying” at 16. My mom was completely grey by 35ish. I’m 32 now and I have two streaks, I love them! I call them “skunking”! 🤗

I have a few that started showing up during a really stressful time a few years ago. It could also be a bit of genetics tho too, my great grandma went completely white by the time she was 18. I’ve had a few people say it looks like natural tinsel the way the pieces shine against my naturally med/dark brown hair.
