Aside from the price you pay, the process to ask for a visa is humiliating and exhausting. Even getting an appointment is impossible and you have people who hog all the appointments and charge insane amounts for them.

A Schengen visa gives you access to 27 countries. That also means they have to check 27 countries for the visa application which means more work and justifies a visa fee. (similar thing exists in east Africa and you pay more) The real problem is the global shift to right wing parties who make it harder to get a visa! Your post is misleading and at best supports the right wing point of views! This helps no one!
