I believe the reason why Jingyuan is slowly being marastruck is due to age, since he didn’t go insane or die like Jingliu and Blade, He was able to hold out for long but due to his aging it’s probably caused by his body aging and the mara acting like a way to keep him alive like in Blade and Jingyuan seems to be aware of this and it is the reason why he’s so laid back.
