@mr.astro18: 🪐📸 I took this photo of Saturn myself, right from my backyard, at around 2 AM on July 26th. Seeing Saturn through a telescope and actually being able to capture it on camera is honestly such a crazy feeling. I want to be completely transparent though: I did use AI to edit the photo. The original photo was taken by me — it was not generated by AI. I used AI as an editing tool and gave it specific commands for the things I wanted changed or improved, while keeping the actual photograph as the basis. I would never generate an entirely fake Saturn photo and pretend I took it. To me, that would completely defeat the point. The whole reason I love astrophotography is because I actually went outside, pointed my equipment at Saturn, and captured it myself. 🪐 AI was only used afterwards to help edit/enhance the image. The photo itself started with a real image that I took in my own backyard. I’m sharing this because I think it’s important to be honest about what’s real and what’s edited. ❤️ Real photo. My camera.
