You'll know if the results show up super quick. I had an MRI for migraines and was shocked when the results were available by the time I got home, an hour later. I had brain tumors and imaging normally takes weeks at that facility so I believe the tech must have marked it stat

The first time I had a brain MRI, the tech was SO talkative before. And after just asked “when are you meeting with your doctor again?” And I said “tomorrow” and she said “good.” So I was like “ok I’m DYING.” Completely normal MRI. Maybe they just like to torture people 😂

I’m a CT tech and I’m not weird. I swear people do this for attention. I treat anyone with abnormal findings the same as the last patient.

i literally walked out of my MRI room to a neurosurgeon standing there. The radiographers had pagered him mid-scan 😳 Ended up having a 12 hour brain surgery to remove a tumour!

I’m hoping you don’t find anything, but if for some reason they find a mass feel free to reach out. I got diagnosed with brain cancer last year and have been through surgery and treatment.

The tech told me my daughter was fine even though she was in there longer than a normal brain mri… I get a call while leaving the hospital from doctor that sent us to get it done saying they found a brain tumor.. been on this journey for 7 years now because it’s inoperable and she now has another one

The techs aren’t allowed to tell you the results. Your doctor will and it can take a while to come in. I’ve always been told good luck. I’ve gotten a lot of scans for my migraines

I said to my tech when it was over, “so was it like Grey’s Anatomy where you end up seeing a massive tumor and have to play it cool?” And she was DEAD. SILENT. I knew before I walked out the door I had cancer lol.

I had an mri where a nuerosurgeon met me outside the tube and was like lesgo homie, STRAIGHT to the operating room. And another mri where the tech marched me straight to ER… so like, I assume if someone isn’t man handling me straight into the arms of a doctor, you may not get great, but maybe not the worst? 🤷🏻♀️😬😂

mine looked awkward too and then my MRI was completely fine, i think they just try too hard to have a “poker face” so sometimes it comes off wrong

the lady that did mine was sooo rude beforehand. I was already nervous and literally thought to myself "great, I have to deal with a b too." then when I was done she was EXTRA nice. like too nice. then I was panicking thinking I had brain cancer and she felt bad for being rude. no masses, just a few small abnormalities.

shortly after my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer, she had imaging done to determine if the cancer had spread anywhere. I will NEVER forget the look of pity on the technician’s face after the scans. my mom died a couple weeks later.

I got put in a wheelchair and wheeled to emergency 😃😅 I was stroking while getting the MRI. fun times. oh and I had no idea 😅

My daughter was 14 at the time. Had migraines for years and taking multiple migraine medications. Finally see’s a neurologist and he spent 3 minutes in the room and told us to have her drink Gatorade and that it’s probably hereditary. Ran zero tests other than putting his finger in front of her eyes and tapping her knee. Did not even set her up for a follow up. I was so furious. We drove 2 hours to see him in Lubbock.
