I dont like how they constantly want to bring new and op characters into the lore, not establish them in any way; like their own story apart from the main quest. Like why are we glossing over the fact that Ashveil is La Mancha? Why are we also just not giving Sampo anything in his lore when he's clearly important in SOME way because he broke the 4th wall in early story. And why did they decide to make Nihilux Aha instead of just making her, idk her own character? It makes zero sense to make a character we JUST met an entirely powerful deity when the buildup for that was hardly ever said or made in the story, they just said "Oh btw I'm Aha I've just been too shy to say anything tehe!" Like is that really how we're revealing AEONS? I could have gotten some of it mixed but it feels.. rushed? To me they shouldn't have made THEM playable now of all times knowing the state of this game

i'm sorry but as a Xianzhou nerd who had been anticipating Shuhu since he was first mentioned in the readables in 2023, i was left so disappointed with the quest he actually appeared in. Because why are his cells randomly in Planarcadia when his arch-enemy is supposed to be the Alliance and The Hunt, and his remains were said to be locked into the Shackling Prison back in the readables? I was expecting to see him as a main antagonist in a future Xianzhou patch with a major bossfight, but instead they used him as angst fuel for Blade's quest in 4.3, which felt rushed as well to me, which bothered me bc he's one of my fav characters. I gen have no idea what they were doing with his character. First you tell me his remains were locked in the Shackling Prison after Baiheng blew him up, then you tell me Ashveil just sealed him within his shadow, but yet his cells(????) are still across the cosmos so someone (i dont remember who) just brought them to Planarcadia to wreak havoc?? And then Blade seals him within the Voracity again??? He was just getting tossed left and right, someone give my Emanator some justice 😭 Not to talk about the 20 penacony retcons we got because the story kept showing plot holes, or how they treated Ashveil and Evanescia's characters despite their importance

This is a problem with both Hsr and genshin’s writing they over explain simple concepts and make them confusing while brushing over complex concepts, I’m not far into zzz’s story yet but thankfully it seems like it doesn’t have that problem

girl this is definitely the problem of writing teams 😭 a lot of writers keep a lot of things to themselves and often get into some creative friction and even add onto things that they don't even fully acknowledge, and it's also because of the deadlines they have and the pressure that they don't bother having to analyze a lot of what other writers wrote if they have the weight of having to complete it in such a short amount of time as usual.
