@doom.lore: Daniel in the Lions’ Den — Briton Rivière Painted by British artist Briton Rivière in 1890, Daniel in the Lions’ Den depicts the biblical prophet Daniel after being thrown into a den of lions as punishment for continuing to pray to God. Rivière was particularly known for his detailed paintings of animals, and the lions in this work are central to the scene. Instead of showing them attacking Daniel, he portrays them surrounding and observing him, creating a tense atmosphere of silence and anticipation. The painting is now held at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, England. ⚠️ Educational content: This content is created for educational and teaching purposes, exploring the history, symbolism, and artistic details of historical artworks. #paint #fyp #curiosity
