A friend of mine from school “dated” this guy once and he sent her literally HUNDREDS of texts a day afterwards, many of them threatening. She was scared and blocked him and this case happened weeks after that. He is a very scary man

I met him once. A few weeks prior to this happening my friend was seeing him. I was at her house and she showed me a photo of a man she’d met online and he was arriving soon by train. When he rocked up, he barely looked at me, was rather arrogant and seemed quite eerie. Something was off I just couldn’t figure it out. She told me then when they were in bed he loved to be rough with her she said she likes it that way too but he was a little over the top. A few weeks later this happened and she told me about it, his version was they were out there on the balcony being intimate and then she fell off. Then the news released what actually happened. But apparently his dad was gonna pay off the judges to get him off.

I listened to the audio years ago (8 years ago from memory) when the case first came to light. The fear in her voice as she said "no, no, no" moments before she fell to her death still haunts me. And the heavy breathing of adrenaline from Tostee right afterwards was so sinister.
