change to gold with strapped belt. it's not a "ball gown" though which is technically defined as floor length and white or black tie. Ballgown attire is rarely asked for so you might want to verify that it literally says that as it's considered the most formal event there is.

wear a wrap over your shoulders for warmth and you'll be fine it looks fantastic on you. sorry don't like the shoes, silver is fine just not the really pointed style of the shoes.
