To collect gravyard dirt: First, leave coins at the entrance of the graveyard. You can say or think in your mind, I respectfully leave these here. Then go to the outer edges of the graveyard... near the outer fence or just the outer circle of the graveyard. You sit for a little while, ask if you can please take some dirt. After you ask you leave an offering like water, tabacco, alcohol, pretty flowers, or bread. if it is water or alcohol pour it on the ground. (do not litter) leave offerings that the earth can take back. Coins are acceptable to leave there. After you ask for permission you need to wait. If it feels ok and accepted. take some. if it doesn't feel ok. leave and come back another day to ask. Only take a little bit of dirt. Like what fits in a small jar. You should build a relationship with the graveyard. Come on days when you're not asking for anything. clean some weeds from headstones. do nice things for the graveyard itself. You can use divination to see if it is ok to take dirt. Always leave a coin when you come into the graveyard. I always leave 3. You can take dirt from graves for specific workings but you have to build a relationship with the spirit of that person's grave. You have to be respectful. You can ask the person if you can take a little dirt. For example, if you are doing a success in court spell you find the grave of a successful lawyer. Visit their grave a few times to build the relationship then ask. If you are doing a spell for protection... find a grave of a police officer, military person... here is where you have to do some research because you have to know who the person was in life. You don't want to use protection from a military or police officer that was dishonorable. It gets very involved. So, to start out just use the outer edges of the graveyard that is away from specific graves. You still have to ask respectfully and WAIT for a response. You don't ever just walk in and take dirt. Leave offerings for the dirt always. Say your thanks for the dirt. I use dirt from my sister's grave for protection jars for me and my kids. she was protective of us when she was alive. I still always ask respectfully.
