For people who don’t know Carrie is originally a part of a wider universe by Steven King. Movies like The Shining, Doctor Sleep, The Green Mile, Firestarter, The Dark Tower are all connected in the BOOKS however they’ve been adapted into movies as stand alones. The main characters in these books have abilities called “The Shining” that gives them different types of abilities. The tv series is mostly trying to stay true to that fact rather than making it into a standalone

The strongest shine. She even can use telekinesis since she was a baby. she have all the abilities people can do, while the other only can use one or two. That's why some people collecting other shine so they can backup eachother while she's alone.

I can tell people did not read the books cause how do yall know Carrie but don’t know about the shine users???? The King universe is full of beings with powers. Abra from Doctor Sleep, Pennywise from It, Tyler from Black House, the little boy from The Shining (forgot his name lol) they’re all shine users
