Poppy 🌸 :
We have to remember that their home planet was destroyed. They traveled years and years to find a new home and when Abyss Sibling woke up in Tevyat a few years before the Cataclysm without their memories they were taken in and the years they soent in Khaenri'ah, it became a 2nd home to them. I can understand why. Abyss sibling is doing what they are doing because they watched the nation, the people who they cared for and who cared for them get destroyed again. They are suffering. They desperately want the home that made them feel like they were finally home again back. [Crying]

I doubt they have parents the twins was in a stasis pod which is the safer option when traveling space we just need to know what supernatural being other than the ai was in the ship or if another ship like it existed

I HAVE A THEORY! Aether and Lumine's parents had to rule their kingdom (kingdom of the element of Sol) for a longer time than other leaders did because of a way happening with another kingdom (kingdom of the element of darkness/abyss). They made Aether and Lumine become the leaders of their kingdom without finishing their training. So they couldn't fight the war and their planet was destroyed. Aether and Lumine's wings were pure white and gold. But the element of darkness and their loss in the war corrupted their wings and became grey/black but still had the golden accents because of their royalty. They fleed their planet and tried to find other planets to live on but the people from every planet didn't let them stay because their felt the darkness element radiating from them. That's why Traveler can purify Abyss magic. (I know it sounds very stupid and childish😅)
