Had a “friend” bail out on my wedding (that was planned 1.5 yrs in advance btw) because she didn’t get the off. Saw weeks after she went to a Halloween party that she obviously requested off for 🙂

I’ll never forget : Me and my coworker were both pregnant 🤰🏻 at the same time ( she was 1 month ahead ). Our boss Dave asked me to go get her a gift at a baby store , which I was more than happy to do. Well, you know how this ended. When I gave birth, it was crickets from Dave. And he liked us both which was the confusing part for me. This was 20 years ago and it still kinda stings. It’s not the gift, it’s the lack of gesture that hurt. 😞

I spent years hosting thanksgiving. mostly for a friend and her sister who grew up Jehovah witness and had no where to go after they deconstructed. last year some things happened and couldn't afford to host. she hosted and didn't invite my family. my family was home eating grilled cheese and soup while she hosted a huge dinner for all her other friends. posting pics and everything. calling and asking for cooking advice. we have been friends for nearly 30 years. she spent 15+ years at my house on Thanksgiving.
