Me explaining to people that this documentary has everything: comedy, drama, horror, romance, camp, shlong, sociopaths, thespians, gigantic eyeballs, gorgeous cinematography, meta-textuality, incredible sound design, and someone who graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades! A masterpiece I can’t wait to re-experience!

It’s absolutely one of the most important films of the decade. I’m absolutely in love with the last shot of Fielder and Holmes in the ocean, which really makes you question anyone involved.

Loved it to death, I don’t think I agree that she genuinely believes she did nothing wrong I think she’s very very messed up and intentional with a LOT of stuff. ALSO IM IN SAN DIEGO AND THE BOOM MIC GUY WAS AT MY SHOWING

how is your takeaway possibly that it’s a fact she truly believes she did nothing wrong? the thesis of the movie is that we can never truly know, and that everyone involved (elizabeth, billy, nathan, and even [redacted]) is an unreliable narrator, manipulating everyone else, consciously or not.
