Summer 2022-Paper wasp kept hanging out with me. I rescued him one day and gave him to my fire maple. He survived and used me as a sauna and CO2 spa for the rest of the season. I learned the difference between curious and aggressive behavior and got over my phobia 😭🐝 I loved that little one.

pretty sure wasps have the ability for facial recognition/memory unlike other insects

This is so interesting, I love it. Thank you for sharing this insight. I recently came across a video of someone who saw a wasp building a nest by their front door and he started feeding it. It definitely seemed to recognize him and behaved differently towards other people approaching the door.

So they are like crows? I have felt that too and I don’t channel. I just feel terrible or almost like hesitant whenever my bf kills their nests on the house like mmmm idk if we should be doing that even though we kinda have to.
