I prayed for someone to be mine for nearly five years. I made dua for her almost every single day, even during Tahajjud. I mentioned her in my prayers at night, in every moment I felt closest to Allah, and even when I went for Umrah, I kept mentioning her name in every prayer I made. But after all those years, it still didn’t happen. I kept praying, hoping, and believing that maybe one day my dua would be accepted. But when nothing changed, I slowly started losing hope. I started questioning my prayers, and eventually, I found myself drifting away from salah and dua. Maybe Allah had a different plan for me. I just wish I understood it back then.
