thank you so much for sticking up for me!!! i’ve been getting attacked by angry “Christian” men for days. they’re mad at me for bringing public awareness to how poorly me & my son were treated at that church. I have zero regrets as I provided a space for many others to voice their own experiences. church hurt is a real thing. & even though I endured a lot of mistreatment there, I still kept going because I LOVE the way Earl delivers his messages. still continued to show up & worship. it wasn’t until I stood up for my son being mistreated that I decided to leave. idc how anyone treats me but when it comes to my BABY, absolutely not. I gave that church 6 years of my journey. I appreciate SCC for the many great sermons & beautiful music. I know I will find a church home in dallas to worship in where we will be treated with respect.

As a lifelong Jesus follower (because following Jesus and going to church are 2 different things), SC absolutely has some behaviors of a cult. They turned myself and my husband away because I have disabling asthma and could not serve. It was appalling and the most un-Christ like behavior from a church I’ve ever seen.

I went to Shoreline before Covid and it was the same feeling then. I grew up United Pentecostal, shoreline isn’t my first church to go to. Though I loved Pastor Earl’s word the crowd was definitely a different vibe. It was very much “Dallas” coded and the way these people are getting mad people are talking about their church… but don’t want to address WHY people feel that way.

There’s two stories to it ! People bashing the aesthetics and the clothes people wear and the lady you’re talking about, her story isn’t receiving as much attention unfortunately, and she did share a genuine experience that wasn’t a shallow judgement.
