Here is what I have SO FAR for Halloween, which admittedly a very complex forecast and could easily change a bit, mainly if timing changes. So with that, let's go over it! First and foremost, no severe weather is expected in Missouri for Halloween. Friday the 30th looks pretty wet with a warm front lifting through the state south to north. This rain should exit northern Missouri overnight Friday. Timing here could have those showers linger into Saturday morning, but for now, it should not be raining when we wake Saturday. On the current timing, it would act to warm the entire state into the 70s, with southern Missouri nearing 80⁰. As we get towards trick-or-treat time, around 5pm, a batch of rain should move in from west and southwest associated with a weak low pressure. The bulk of the rain with this low will likely stay south of Missouri, but could clip far southern Missouri. The rain will continue east for November 1st and clear the area. Timing could easily slow on this entire setup and have the rain expected the 30th, cover the state on the 31st, so we have to keep watching this for a couple more days to lock that timing in. Very important: This will be a warm up for front to follow on the 2nd and again the 5th/6th of November which both have much higher ceilings for both rain and severe weather. The map for the second will cover a massive portion of the country with a negatively tilted trough possible. The worst part of the forecast is probably that box in the top right corner. But at least we gain an hr of sleep this time, if you are asleep by then 😆 🤣
