Our children see what our values look like when we’re frustrated, tired, or wrong. Becoming the Guardian means pausing in those moments: “What is happening, and what would the parent I choose to be do next?” That might mean listening before correcting, holding a limit without humiliation, or saying, “I raised my voice. That was my responsibility, and I’m sorry.” Then follow through differently. We can give them examples of accountability, compassion, and repair while respecting the people they are becoming. ❤️
