Im shia and I’m sorry for this uncomfortable Shia. He doesn’t know his religion. I can explain. Saying ya ali or ya muhammed it’s not wrong. It means tawassul. It’s the same thing if you go to your mother and asks her if she can dua for you to Allah for example for your exam or smth like that. The Quran itself says that the dead people who stood near to Allah swt can hear you and they’re not dead. The same thing when you say ya Ali oder ya muhammed. You ask them for making dua for you to Allah. I’m not English I hope you guys could unterstand my explanation. As selamu aleykum.
