I met Grizzly today on my way out from a volunteer shift and my heart just broke for him. He was so nervous and trembling, and I felt so sorry for this little guy. He has a huge mass on his neck that needs medical attention beyond what the shelter is able to provide. He desperately needs a 501c3 rescue group willing to take him in, but just as importantly he needs a committed foster who will be there for him through whatever surgery or treatment he may need and until he’s ready for adoption. I’m not sure if Grizzly was trembling simply because he was scared or if maybe he’s gone his whole life without much human interaction. He came into the shelter as a stray so it’s possible he’s spent a long time wandering around without a home or anyone to care for him. Regardless of what his past looks like he seems like such a sweet little dog. He’s so small and adorable, and I just wish I could explain to him that there are people out there who would love to help him. I really hope we can find someone willing to give Grizzly the chance he deserves. •Questions?
