parents don't have time to make things anymore because we have to have 10 jobs to get dinner on the table..... kids are being raised by grandparents or strangers because no one can afford to take a sick day off let alone make a custom anymore 😭...... blaming the system not the partners here...

I'm mostly sad that we don't have trick-or-treaters anymore. Kids used to go in their own neighborhoods. Now it's all about finding the best neighborhood. Which neighborhood gives the best candy. Which neighborhood has haunted houses. Which neighborhood does the best decorations. Which houses are projecting a movie on their front lawn. Not saying it's not cool, but sometimes just spending time in your own neighborhood with what your neighbors have to offer is more special.

I hand made at least part of my kids costumes, or added personal touches. Usually because I couldn’t justify the cost of a costume for one night but could use what we had and just buy a few things to pull it together. And I’m proud to say, my 23 year old has been working on her costume for at least a month now😂😂😂

I wore a plastic bag with strawberry shortcake printed on it and a plastic mask. And one year I was a mime(homemade) and one year I was scarlet from gone with the wind(homemade).that’s it

Maybes it's because there's 46 Spirit Halloween popping up in each town, each year. No one needs to get creative anymore. It's a bummer.
